Modernize the software to improve security levels in the remote control of the control units. Create an intuitive and attractive graphic interface.
Critical aspects.
The original Femax Elettronica system was available only from browsers. Due to some programming choices, it was not possible to migrate the software to a mobile app. In addition to a high and excessive consumption of computing resources in the management of the control units (100% commitment for a control of just 150 control units), the graphic interface and the user experience did not facilitate use by the end user: many poorly organized menus with no logic, with too technical and unintuitive choice options, including a virtual keyboard that slowed down even the simplest commands.
Our solution
The entire software has been redesigned and redesigned, developing an iOS and Android mobile app and a WebApp.
The new project had a twofold objective: to obtain ease of use (thus improving the user experience and the interface itself) and optimizing the consumption of resources. To do this, the system has been divided into several subsystems, creating ad hoc modules for communications between the user and the control unit, for storing information, for retrieving data from the DB and, of course, for connecting with the app.
Advantages.
The entire process of managing and using the software has been simplified, allowing faster actions and reducing the number of errors.
The alarms are activated now with a tap on the screen, and updates in the states of the sensors in a few milliseconds allow you to control the alarm system in real time.
Thanks to a light but powerful structure, the system is 60% committed to controlling 5,000 control units, thus limiting the waste of resources.
Thanks to a push notifications system, voice calls and emails, the user is alerted even when the app or browser is not open.
