Develop an application (iOS and Android) for the remote configuration and management of the new alarm sensors series “Blue”.

Critical aspects.
The most critical issues concerned the safety aspects and the usability of the system. The biggest challenge was to make the configuration and management of alarm sensors quick and intuitive.
The first problem dealt with concerned authentication with the system and authorization to modify sensor parameters. These aspects played a key role during all the development phases as it was essential to give the installer the opportunity to interact with the sensor. At the same time, however, it was necessary to ensure that more employees belonging to the installer could operate on the system.
Finally, the manual calibration of the sensors made the configuration in the various usage scenarios very complex: just think of the heights to which the sensors (even tens of meters), often difficult and dangerous to reach, can be installed. Furthermore, for each sensor the installer had to memorize the optimal configuration procedures and settings.
Our solution.
Thanks to a complex communication protocol, each sensor recognizes and enables its initial installer who, in turn, can share or revoke access to colleagues and collaborators directly from the app thanks to the cloud system that we have created.
Every change to the configuration of the sensor parameters is sent and saved on the cloud, in order to have continuous traceability of the interventions. This allows the installer and his collaborators to consult the sensor’s work configurations remotely. Furthermore, the installer can easily transfer the configuration from one sensor to another, making it quick and easy to replace a sensor in the event of a fault.
There are scenarios in which the incorrect sensor calibration leads to the triggering of false alarms: thanks to the innovative graphic real-time display of the microwave signal, the operator can calibrate the sensor sensitivity incredibly precisely, reducing the number of interventions and the time needed to achieve an optimal configuration.

Advantages.
Our solutions, designed to guarantee a very high level of security and reliability, have allowed us to create a flexible and easy to use system that allows the user to operate remotely on the sensors via Bluetooth with an app designed specifically for iOS and Android devices.
In addition to allowing the installation and calibration of the alarm sensor in a few seconds, the app makes the work of the installer much safer, which can now operate on the device even from a distance, without exposing itself to the risks of an intervention carried out at several meters of height.
